Since 2005, Charles S. Hafer has been the managing partner of Hafer & Company Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, with offices in Palm Beach, Naples, Miami, and Orlando, Florida. He earned his undergraduate degree in accounting at the University of Florida and an MBA with a concentration in accounting and taxation from Florida Atlantic University.
Mr. Hafer has been a certified public accountant licensed in the state of Florida since 1977, and he is active in the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA). Through the years, he has served the FICPA in many capacities, including as:
- Past president of the East Coast chapter of FICPA
- Past regional vice president of FICPA
- Member of the Executive Committee for two years
- Member of the Board of Governors for six years
- Prior vice president of education
- Prior trustee for FICPA - PAC
- Prior trustee of the FICPA Educational Foundation
- Member of several committees
Mr. Hafer was also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Corporation and Shareholder Taxation Committee, the Palm Beach Civic Association, and the Accounting Research Association.
In addition, Mr. Hafer was an adjunct professor of accounting at Palm Beach Atlantic College in West Palm Beach, Florida, as well as an Internal Revenue Service presenter for the Small Business Workshop from 1991 to 2002.
Mr. Hafer has also served his community as prior chairman of the YMCA of the Palm Beaches and treasurer of the Edwin W. Brown branch of the YMCA in West Palm Beach.
